Aratashen Winery
Company overview
SHUNCH wines are born at Aratashen Winery, founded by Egoyan family in 2018 in the heart of the Ararat Valley—between the mountains of Ararat and Aragats—on land where winemaking dates back to times.
Under the Armenian sun, vineyards planted with Areni and Voskehat grapes produce wines that reflect this terroir. Mountain breezes support balanced ripening, enhancing depth and expression.
The founders believe that combining Armenian grape varieties, rich soils, modern technology, and traditional methods allows the creation of wines competitive on the international market.
From the beginning, Aratashen Winery has followed regenerative agriculture and sustainable development to restore soil health and support biodiversity. Organic cultivation is a core principle, supported by improved farming practices that preserve land and water resources.
Aratashen Winery operates on solar energy and uses drip irrigation and permaculture to reduce water use and avoid artificial fertilizers.
Sustainability guides every step, reflecting responsibility for the future.
Over seven years, Aratashen Winery has planted 50,000 vines, with plans to double this number.
The result of this work is SHUNCH wine, presented in the following categories:
- Areni Red
- Areni Red Reserve
- Voskehat White
- Voskehat White Reserve
Sparkling wines: the traditional Champagne and the Charmat methods.
